By downloading or using Gongful, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Gongful is
Gongful is a personal mindfulness tool designed to prompt moments of presence throughout your day. It is not a medical device, therapy tool, or substitute for professional mental health care.
Use of the app
Gongful is for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws
- Attempt to interfere with the app's functionality
In-app purchases
Gongful offers an optional one-time support purchase of $2.99. This is a voluntary contribution — all app features are available without purchasing. The purchase is processed by Apple and is subject to Apple's standard terms. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.
Give a Gong
The Give a Gong feature allows you to share a presence prompt with others via a link. You are responsible for ensuring you only share with people who would welcome it. Gongful is not responsible for how shared links are used once they leave the app.
AI-generated content
Presence prompts may be generated by the Anthropic API. While we instruct the AI to produce grounded, positive content, we cannot guarantee the output of any specific prompt. If you receive a prompt that seems inappropriate, please contact us at hello@gongful.life.
Disclaimer
Gongful is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that notifications will fire at any specific time. The app is a mindfulness aid — use it as such.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gongful and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
